I'm no coding genius, but I'm an artist and a writer. And sometimes, these things can count more in the creation of games. Games can be used as a supplement for any story, or you could make a game based on perhaps an online community ... or maybe even a promotional game for something you are trying to sell. Maybe you just want a game based on your character.
Personally I can create only four types of games, as follows:
1) Top-down RPG style, which could include turn-based battles, puzzles, and a very large array of possible additions, such as items, fishing, races, etc.
2) Adventure style game. Think in terms of Broken Sword, Monkey Island or Beneath a Steel Sky, for example.
3) Basic online RPG (using Well of Souls engine). Think in terms of a VERY
basic version of Guild Wars.
4) A forum RPG, where you can fight other users, post or play games to earn coins, and equip yourself before fighting an array of beasts.
Also, it's possible that I could make a game similar to Street Fighter, or a game akin to R-Type, given some time to learn certain codes.
Please keep in mind that it would take me a very long time indeed to make any kind of decent game, so I
would need to charge appropriately. However, I could likely make a short game in just 1 week.
