From Path of the Vampire Wiki
All wiki coding accepts most forms of HTML format, though it also heavily relies on CSS coding as well. Some things already have short-hand code, as in if you wanted to bold or italicize text.
There are also templates that help with coding, from simple to advanced. For a list of templates to use, and how to use them properly, see Category:Templates.
You can always click the Edit button in the Page Editing section of an article's far right navigation bar in order to see the article as wiki-code. But for a quick guide, this article should help.
Creating A Character Page
To create a character page, simply type in your Character's in game name in the search bar to the right. Under the advanced search functions, there will be a link to follow that states:
Create the page "Zoe" on this wiki!
Simply click the link and you will be directed to a page where you can input that pages wikicode to dress it up. Keep in mind that while editing a wiki page, simple is always better. Its meant to flow easily, and not keep others hung up on trying to follow through it but instead provide a crisp, clean formatted page that displays specified information.
For Bolding Text add 3 apostrophes on each side.
For Italicized Text add 2 apostrophes on each side.
For Bold Italics Text add 5 apostrophes on each side.
Hitting 'enter' will not automatically force a new line in wiki-coding.
A line break that is visible in the content is inserted by pressing Return twice or by using forced line breaks.
For Horizontal Page Lines:
To sub-quote one line, simply insert a space in front of a sentence.
If you have to Fisherman`s Wharf at 36, 16, River RockTo indent a paragraph, simply insert a semi-colon in front of the first word of the paragraph.
- Don't get too excited. It's just a silly minigame, and it's nothing super important. It was made purely because I wanted something fun to do, and also in celebration of Pathaversary II (today! as of the time of this post). I wanted to add a lot more to the minigame, but I ran out of time, and I had to keep reminding myself that there's far more important things to be doing.

Page LayoutThe easiest way to divide your page up into easy to read segments is by using headers and sub-headers. Using a sub header will automatically format and add a table of contents for the top of your page. To create a header use the title in between a set of equal's signs.
This is your first heading.
This subheader auto creates the Table of Contents for you.
You can have as many sub and sub-sub headers as you like.
You can also keep going with as many sub's as you like.
And then you can go back to a header, sub, sub-sub, or whatever you'd like
Wiki LinksTo link to a wiki page of somebody else or an article simply encase it in double brackets:
Produces the words Andras Bloodline but links back to the page Bloodlines:
To link to an external webpage like the forum, simply encase it in single brackets and add a space after the link to name the page yourself.
Note: always have a space between the link and the text you want to describe the link as.
You actually have to upload these to the wiki from your computer or device using the Upload File link found here, or to the right under the navigation heading Toolbox.
:Permitted file types: png, gif, jpg, jpeg.
Once you reach the Special Uploading page, you will have to find the file on your device or computer. Simply click the Choose file button and find the image in your folder, select it, and click Open. The file name will appear in the Source filename: white box shortly thereafter.
Then, you'll need to name your file. We suggest you keep the same filename - though it is not mandatory. It is however, good to keep the same extension for image property reasons.
You can put in a summary of the image, which will change the 'alt' text when a mouse is hovered over the image - though this is not mandatory to fill in. (You can leave it blank.) In turn the 'Licensing' can be skipped.
Upload options include Watch this file and Ignore any warnings. Checking the box to watch the file will ensure that if someone edits the image it will show up on your My Watchlist page. Checking the box to ignore warnings ensures that if you are over writing a file that you will not be warned for this. It is unwise to check the ignore warnings box unless you are 100% certain the image isnt overwriting another - or you know entirely what you are doing in the situation.
To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:
to use the full version of the file.
to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a table box in the left margin with 'alt text' as the small image description.
for directly linking to the file without displaying the file.

Color can be added to text, border and background by using color codes. The following link can hep you find the color code you want. Color Codes
This code will produce a basic character bio table, an example of which can be seen below. Simply copy/paste the code and fiddle with the parameters to obtain your desired style. For sake of ease, simply copy, paste and replace all CAPSLOCK information with your character's info. Ensure sure to adjust the WIDTH parameter of both your file and your table (both values should be the same).
